It has been about one year since Microsoft released it Windows Vista. Now it is time for major update from Microsoft, Vista Service Pack 1. This update is very important improvement based on customers feedback. The information was collected through programs like Customer Experience Improvement Program, Online Crash Analysis and Windows Error Reporting. With these tools Microsoft learns about where and when their customers are having issues with their Windows and applications.
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is very important because it improving the performance, reliability and compatibility. You will notice run faster and more reliable with SP1. Copying and moving file around your PC, your home network or your corporate network will be up to 50% faster. In addition, resuming your PC from sleep will be faster with SP1.
Since Windows Vista was released last year, 98 of top-selling 100 applications have version available with Vista. Now with Windows Update, your Vista can support about 78,000 components and devices. And now Microsoft has licensed over 100 million it Windows Vista.
At the moment your PC won't be automatically download the SP1 update. Microsoft is going to release the update stage by stage. Anyone who buy new PC or Notebook with Windows Vista will have SP1 update. The reason Microsoft doing this because of issue with some of drivers. If your can't wait for your windows to automatically update to SP1, you can download it at Windows Update Center. Windows Update will diagnose your system whether you have problem with drivers or not. If you have this problem Windows Update will not offer you SP1, but if you still want to update to SP1 anyhow, the download center will allow to do so. If you experience any issue with the drivers, it is recommended to reinstall the drivers. Microsoft is planning to release the SP1 through windows automatic update by mid-April. Any system with driver problem will not get automatic update. So make sure you update your device driver to latest update to make sure your system able to update to SP1.
